Splendid

The location is good, but I wish we'd been told about the elevator beforehand. This old hotel has been renovated with the bathroom walls removed, which is absurd when there's plenty of room. The shower and sink had colorful lights that felt creepy. I didn't like the setup even on my own, and it would be terrible to share. It feels like pure greed, saving on walls to discourage sharing. I'm surprised more people aren't complaining.

The room was warm enough that we didn't use the electric blankets, and there was a kettle, cups, and complimentary tea and sugar. The beds were great, though the pillows were too soft. The hotel is beautiful, with a lake-view room, very good service, and good internet speed.

David was so kind and helpful, and gave me the best service ever. I loved my clean, comfortable room and the lovely view of the lake. Super hotel.

After we'd checked out, my son realized he'd left his tablet in our room. Before I even contacted the hotel, they got in touch and had it shipped to our next stop on the trip. That was far beyond what I expected. The staff were wonderful, the breakfast excellent, and the location fantastic. Hotel Splendid was a great choice while we were in Montreux, and I highly recommend it. We were there during the June heat wave. Like most hotels in Switzerland, it has no air conditioning, but they moved us to rooms where we'd be more comfortable.
