The views are great, but 200 CHF for a double room feels too expensive for what you get. The room was fine, though small and especially plain. Breakfast was a mediocre continental spread, with eggs and other made-to-order dishes charged extra. The breakfast room staff were rude and inattentive.

The rooms are clean and okay, and the view is great. Breakfast was all right too. Still, the place gives me the feeling of a hospital or nursing home.

Run by nuns, this is a distinctive spa hotel. It has a bit of a hospital feel, but that didn't bother us, and it was very quiet. The atmosphere is peaceful and the staff are really friendly. Breakfast comes with an absolutely magnificent view. Piazza Grande in Locarno is an 8-minute walk away, and Locarno train station is 5 minutes on foot.

Worth considering as an option, though the hotel itself was just OK. The unusual part is that it’s combined with a hospital ☺
