Mansarda Verde

The spa needs to be booked in advance, then a staff member lets you in at your appointment time. They provide towels for both the spa and the outdoor terrace. I expected a private beach, but didn't see one, and the large private terrace wasn't open during my stay. Still, it was definitely good value. Getting to the train station is easy, it's basically across the street, and Lugano is about a 20-minute ride away. The views are excellent, the private balconies were great, and staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast has a good continental selection. There aren't many food options nearby, though the restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and there's a bar/lounge for cocktails. The food was good.

We felt very welcome, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The lake views from the restaurant and piano bar are stunning. Breakfast is simple, with quality meat, bread, eggs, and cereal, and the coffee was great. Dinner is simple too, but very well cooked. We paid a small fee to park off road outside. Our large superior room had a good shower and reliable Wi-Fi, including in the public areas. The beds were firm but comfortable. The pillows were almost empty, unfortunately, but we still slept comfortably. Highly recommended.

We had excellent service, and everything was clean. The room looked out toward the lake, and the buffet breakfasts were delicious. Highly recommended for a nature-filled escape with your partner.

The rooms were clean, and the waterfront balconies gave us a beautiful view in the sunshine. The best restaurants are just a short walk away, across the border on the Italian side.
