The hotel is ideally located across from the train station, and most of the service was excellent, with friendly staff who took initiative to help us. But the night shift receptionist checking people in on March 3 ruined the experience. We asked her just one question in English, and she replied in perfect English that she didn't speak English and told us to “speak with my colleague tomorrow”. Such a pity that one staff member could spoil everything.

We had a great time, and they let us bring our cat. A very friendly German woman at the front desk helped us with everything. Sorry, I can't remember her name. She also really liked our cat, which was cute.

Pontresina was closed, but the station was open, and there were no problems at all. The hotel is ideally situated opposite the station, has a nice bar, and the staff were great. We only had breakfast, though other guests were having dinner. We went to alp grum for tea. The room was warm, no problems.
