The only real letdown was a male server at the buffet, whose behavior was rude. Otherwise, our family had an excellent stay at the Pontresina Youth Hostel. Its location is ideal for rail travel, just a few feet from the station, so arriving with luggage was easy. We booked a roomy, comfortable family room through the official app, and the shared bathrooms were clean. Check-in was warm and professional, and both dinner and breakfast buffets offered varied, high-quality food. It worked perfectly as a stop between our Bernina Express trip from Tirano and our Glacier Express departure from St. Moritz the next day.

A comfortable bed and a good hostel, right outside the train station, with Coop and nearby restaurants close by. Breakfast is good, and dinner has to be booked in advance.

We just stopped for lunch. It was tasty, affordable, and had a good range of healthy options! 😋

The buffet breakfast is top level, dinner is good, and the staff are friendly and very kind. I've booked beds for my wife and me in a six-bed room several times. The other guests are usually kind, so sharing hasn't been a problem. The hostel is always very clean, and the bathrooms are excellent. There's a ski room, with cross-country trails starting just outside. The railway station and bus stop are both only a minute away.

The price is okay, but the place felt really unfriendly and lacking in hospitality. During breakfast, a security guy watched me and kept coming over to check whether I'd hidden an egg or anything. I'll never book here again or recommend it.
