Mr. Kingsley, the manager, and the whole team made me feel very welcome. The Hotel Apart is also well placed for reaching Lucern, Zurich, Zug, and other lovely parts of Switzerland by train. There are some cozy places to explore right around the hotel too. I definitely recommend staying here.

Check-in was a real hassle after a long day. I would have preferred to speak with someone, though we eventually worked it out. That’s what kept this from being five stars. The rooms were spacious and clean, and I appreciated the hotel’s environmental consciousness. It’s right by the station, between two popular cities. There’s no AC, but the windows opened and the nights were cool; during peak summer, I can see that being a problem.

Being close to the train station is the one good thing for me. The reception closes at 6 pm and the main entrance at 10 pm. Breakfast at the restaurant has few options. The handwashing bottle was empty for two days, and none of the service staff replaced it.

I like the minimalist style here, and the basics are handled better than at some more ornate hotels I’ve stayed in. It’s easy to find, right across from a major train station. Cleanliness, a good shower, and WiFi are what I look for, and all three were superb. The staff were pleasant and very helpful too.

From check-in and the room to breakfast, service, and checkout, everything was perfect. The staff were friendly and very cooperative. Loved the place, couldn’t have asked for better service.
