I’d been hesitant because of the Google map reviews, but the stay turned out surprisingly amazing. It’s an old hotel, yet very clean, with friendly staff and a nice breakfast for such a low price. I especially loved the cottage cheese. The room had a beautiful view, and the hotel is right in the centre, with easy access to stations, markets, bakeries, and coffee places. If you’re cautious and travelling in high season, it may help to raise any doubts and confirm the booking in advance through agency websites or by phone. They didn’t reply to my email, though. My only regret is not bringing Swiss francs to tip the room service lady who folded my clothes so cutely!

I had a very pleasant stay and loved the super comfy bed. The prices were good for Switzerland, and the room service staff were friendly. The room and toilet were clean, and we could leave our luggage before check-in and after check-out, though they weren’t flexible about early check-in. They gave us an Interlaken transport card, and the hotel is near the bus station, with both west and ost stations walkable. Breakfast was included and really good, with eggs, cheese, fruit salad, yogurt, waffles, bread, honey, jam, corn flakes, nuts, dried fruits, prunes, and both hot and cold drinks. Our mobile charger adapters didn’t work, so we borrowed one from reception with a refundable 10 CHF deposit.

The architecture throughout this old but well-kept hotel was extraordinary, and the cleaning crew did a fabulous job. Rooms are small and quaint, but quiet. Ours had a ceiling skylight with an amazing view, and the beds were super comfortable. Breakfast offered plenty of fresh choices, from hard-boiled eggs to sliced meats, cheeses, breads, and waffles. The receptionist was lovely and helpful. Guests get passes for free travel within Interlaken and discounts on many local activities. It’s only a few minutes from the train station, with shops, eateries, and groceries within walking distance.

I’m convinced more than half the reviews for this hotel are fake. The staff here are so nice and welcoming, and happy to help with any questions. The rooms are clean, and I know clean when I see it. Some repairs are still going on, but you can already feel their positive effect in the rooms. The prices are extremely reasonable for Switzerland when travelling with a family. It’s on a small, quiet street, close to shops, restaurants, train stations, and bus stops.

The location was ideal, a short walk from the train station and close to Coop. My room at Hotel Harder Minerva felt homey and comfortable, a nice place to unwind after exploring. Breakfast was delicious and had a good variety to start the morning. I had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Interlaken.
