Between Lakes Apartments

The host replies to messages very quickly, and there’s a storage room where we could leave our luggage before and after the stay. A supermarket is only a few minutes away on foot. The room is showing some age, but everything works as it should.

The administrator, Katja, did at least try to sort out a few things. She brought us a clean, normal-sized frying pan and some towels to put under the pillows for proper support, free of charge. But this was one of the worst holiday stays I’ve had. The town was overcrowded, though we expected that. The apartment was another matter, worn out and seemingly untouched since the 70s. The couch was dirty, door panels had holes, the old floor had big marks, furniture was broken, and the frying pan we first got was filthy and barely big enough for one fried egg. Plates and cutlery were greasy. The bathroom wasn’t pleasant either, and the shower curtain didn’t look washed. I can’t understand ratings above two stars. They charge ridiculously high rent like a money-making machine, while putting nothing into improvements.

We booked an apartment through this agency on Airbnb, but when we arrived, the owner gave us a different apartment from the one we had booked and paid for. The owner should provide the exact apartment and facilities shown in the Airbnb photos. We’re very dissatisfied and don’t recommend this Airbnb.

The host David was prompt to respond, and even let us leave our luggage there during the day before check-in. The place is beautiful, very clean, and well maintained. It’s also close to Interlaken West station, the market, and other landmarks, so it’s a perfect place to stay.
