Hotel Savoy

We spent four very uncomfortable nights in apartment # 2, in an old building. Silvia, the owner, was nice on the phone, though we never met her. She sent Connie with the key, but Connie was grumpy and wouldn't let me ask questions. The unit smelled bad. The sofa had lots of spots, the shower was dark and smelly, some utensils in the drawer were unwashed, and there was hair on plates in the cupboard. The freezer door was broken, and Connie said they couldn't fix it because the unit was always full, so there was no freezer. They provided only one garbage bag. When I asked for more, Connie told me to put the garbage on the balcony. The towels were very worn out, and I found a couple of long black hairs in the bed when I lifted the blanket to go to sleep. The beds are upstairs, where it gets hot. Keeping the windows open helped cool things down, but then the street noise made it impossible to sleep. There was no iron or washing machine, just very basic amenities. Hot water was another problem: you had to remember to turn on a button after your morning shower, or there wouldn't be hot water in the evening. I don't recommend this property.
