A week before our planned stay, Booking emailed that we had needed to sign something within 24 hours. We were on vacation and missed it, so the booking was cancelled completely. By then other hotels were already booked, and we had to change our plans and stay somewhere else. Before that, we'd been told someone else had booked our room for the same dates, and were offered one room for four of us at almost the price of two rooms. We were angry, but couldn't cancel, so agreed. There was also a CHF 70 cleaning fee that was sort of hidden, more than the nightly rate. We only noticed after booking, when cancellation wasn't possible. Fair enough, you could say that part was our fault.

She charged us an extra 2.6 chf for a garbage bag, which wasn't in the contract. With the 70 chf cleaning fee, that felt ridiculous. The hostess also didn't provide soap or towels, and the bus tickets weren't ready on time, so I paid for the transport myself. Later that day she yelled at me, saying she'd prepared and paid for the tickets and we hadn't used them, even though I'd already spent my own money on transport.

Our booking was cancelled without warning. Since that apparently doesn't directly bring down their Booking rating, I think the rating is unfairly high. Stay away from this hotel.

The view over the Swiss mountains more than made up for the decor, which really wasn't to our taste. Two single beds, tiled floors, window blinds, and a classic rustic oak kitchen were all together in one room. The hosts, though, were incredibly nice and helpful.
