We spent the last week of the year at Monte Rosa with my friends and their dogs, my wife, and our cat. Everything, absolutely everything, was perfect. Philippe Oggier, the manager, and his team worked hard, and it showed in the outstanding results. It felt like a home away from home, and we’ll definitely be back. I highly recommend Monte Rosa to families with children and anyone looking for that kind of place.

Getting to the slopes is easy, with a bus stop really close by, and the parking lot is accessible and large enough. The facilities are in great condition and the Wi-Fi works flawlessly. Management is willing to help, and as far as I could tell they speak at least German and English. A recommended place for skiing in Saas Fee.

Eight of us stayed in the Strahlboden apartment, which has a lovely kitchen with all the equipment we needed. The old hotel has been smartly turned into larger apartments. Arranging things with the owner, Philip, over WhatsApp was seamless.

The DOM apartment was very clean and tidy, with a new, well-equipped kitchen. The bedrooms could do with some newer furniture. The house is in a great spot, close to shops and to the bus and train for Kreuzboden. We’d be happy to stay at the Monte Rosa again. Best wishes, Andreas Müller

The outdoor terrace and balcony still haven’t been renovated, which is a shame. Inside, the old hotel has been nicely converted into holiday apartments, with well-equipped kitchens, lovely rooms and clean bathrooms, though some are a bit dated. It’s excellent value for money and in a good central location. We can recommend the apartment.
