Domaine De Chateauvieux

The food was refined, flavorful, and generous without feeling unbalanced, and all our guests were impressed. We held our civil wedding lunch for around thirty people on the terrace of Domaine de Châteauvieux, with a breathtaking view and a setting that felt elegant, peaceful, and full of charm. It was just right for an intimate celebration, and we still have beautiful memories of the day. The planning and service had some rough patches. Communication wasn't always smooth, flexibility was limited, and several guests felt the staff could have been more attentive. For a place with this reputation, that fell short. A few service improvements could make the experience flawless.

Dinner was fantastic, with top-notch service and food better than several other 2-star Michelin restaurants I've tried over the past 2 years. Many thanks to the staff and Chef! 👨‍🍳 We stayed here for our last night in Switzerland, and the quiet countryside was a great way to finish 14 days of travel. The vineyard and sunset views were beautiful, while the airport was still only 5-6 miles away. Getting an Uber to the airport at 4:20am for our 7am flight was easy. I was glad we chose this relaxing spot instead of a typically hectic, loud hotel near the airport. My one critique is the dining room lighting. It was far too bright for dinner and really hurt the ambiance, almost like they'd left the lunchtime settings on. Dimming the lights by 30%+ would be an easy fix.

The sea bass and seafood dishes were delicious, and the atmosphere and view were both stunning. It was a bit pricey, but totally worth it. Thanks to Sara for the great non-alcoholic drink. I'd love to return and would definitely recommend it.

Chef Philippe Chevrier is a genius. The dishes were beautifully balanced, and the wine pairings were spot on. In a stunning setting, the meal felt like a culinary masterpiece, with impeccable service throughout. It'd be ideal for a celebration or a romantic evening.
