Holiday Inn - Schindellegi - Zurichsee

I really liked the fish curry and roti, and the rest of the food was great too. The room had an awesome view, and both it and the reception area felt classy. Everything was very clean, and the customer service was great. I’d recommend this hotel and would definitely come back on my next trip to Zurich.

Breakfast had a good variety, and the service was pretty good. The room was comfortable, and the hotel is in a strategic location. There’s no air conditioning, but mornings were cool while I was there. The room price felt fair for the services provided.

The hotel is modern and nice, and the restaurant is great, even though it’s a separate brand. But the pool was closed during our stay, and there’s no air conditioning. The location isn’t great unless you’re just passing through.

The room was very large and soundproof, but the stay was still a terrible experience. Dust covered the floor just five minutes after we arrived, and the pictures show our sockets and the light behind the bed after that short time. I have asthma, so that was especially upsetting. The room was far too expensive for what it offered, and I don’t see how this can be a four-star hotel. We booked a Junior suite for one night. The TV didn’t work, and when we asked, staff first said they’d look at it that evening. Three hours passed and nobody came. Then they said the tech guys would come the next morning, but he never showed up. We had a late check-out at 3 PM, yet the cleaning staff barged in at 1 PM. The staff didn’t speak any French, which is Switzerland’s second official language. They spoke very little English and were rough and unwelcoming to people who didn’t speak German.
