Our stay was deeply disappointing, and the customer service made it worse. The room lock failed on the evening of January 6, 2026, and although the fault itself may not have been anyone's fault, the hotel had a device on site that eventually opened the door without a technician. This should have been dealt with that evening, but we spent the night without our belongings and got very little sleep. We arrived around 18:00, checked in, and went to room 106 after the key program said our card had activated successfully. It wouldn't open the door. A replacement card from reception worked, so we left our things and got ready for a 19:00 dinner invitation. As we left, we heard a strange noise at the door and tried to go back in. The lock gave no light at all, red or green/yellow. Another card still opened the hallway door, as had the first two, but wouldn't open our room. We called reception from dinner and were told someone would come around 21:30. No one did, so we called again. Instructions over the phone didn't help, and we were told a technician was needed. We were moved to room 109, but it had just one duvet. We found a second one in the closet, but it had no cover. After another call, we were given room 105 as a supposed upgrade. That room also had only one duvet on the double bed, dust webs hanging from the ceiling over the bed, and a used bandaid on the floor. We took the duvet from 109 and brought it to 105. By then it was past midnight, and our medication, sleepwear, phone charger cable, toiletries, and other supplies were still in room 106. We were told someone would help around 6:30. At 6:30 we went downstairs, but the breakfast lady said nobody was there before 7:00 and didn't know what was going on. Around 7:30 she came to 106 and tried her card/fob, without success. She returned with a housekeeping woman, who we later saw carrying a vacuum cleaner and mopping the floors. Their card/fob didn't work either. They came back again with a carton box and what looked like a charging device, which they used to activate the lock. My daughter had to point out that the cable was upside down at first. Finally the door opened and we got our things. We didn't receive a sincere apology. A few days later, customer services asked us to put everything in an email, then didn't even respond. They take no responsibility. We hope future guests are treated better if they decide to risk staying here.
