After a couple of hours hiking and visiting the nearby waterfall, we stopped in for an evening beer. It has a typically Swiss feel, with a wooden interior. The service was friendly even though we were only there for a drink, and the toilets were clean and well kept. The road ends here, so you won't arrive by accident. To continue, you have to walk. The hike can be as challenging as you like. There aren't easy strolls, but some of the walking is paved, so good shoes are enough, no mountain rescue gear needed.

The kitchen is great and the people are lovely. One of the best places in the Alpstein to eat, have a drink, or stay overnight. It's always a pleasure.
