Right in front of the train station, but the room was very quiet. It was spacious for a typical Swiss hotel, clean and nice, with a bathroom in good shape. Breakfast had a wide choice, including eggs and salmon. Check-in wasn't smooth: the instructions I received didn't match what actually happened, so I had to walk around with my luggage for no reason. Still, everything worked out fine in the end.

The hotel is very central, across the road from the train station, with buses stopping just a few steps away and shops only a short distance away. They provide free bus passes for some routes, though I walked everywhere I wanted to go. I couldn't hear the trains from my room despite the station being right opposite. Breakfast was included for the whole stay and had a huge spread, with everything you could ask for. The lovely breakfast staff made the coffee, and the room was cleaned every day. Everyone at Hotel Metropol St Gallen Switzerland was very helpful. I had a really enjoyable stay. Thank you!

We got a room with a view of the train station just opposite, and it was clean, big and had the essentials. The atmosphere at breakfast was lovely, and the food was great. The staff were really nice and had a child seat ready for my daughter, then offered her hot chocolate. Check-in was easy, and luckily we were able to get in early. I'd recommend this hotel to everyone.

The twin room we booked was on the small side, but the reception staff were friendly and the breakfast buffet was good. The hotel is right across from the train station.

Construction made check-in and reception feel a little strange, but the room and bath were clean and comfortable, even if small. The breakfast buffet was quite good, and the Japanese restaurant on the first floor in the afternoon was a welcome surprise. Being directly across from St.Gallen Hbf made this a perfect location for our two nights during a long rail journey.
