Hotel Restaurant Zum Beck

We only booked one night in Stansstad and wished we’d stayed longer. After a day exploring Mt Pilatus and another in Luzern, we breezed through the town. The two women at reception and the restaurant hosts were amazing, so friendly and helpful. Our room, the ‘chocolat’ room, was fun and unique, a good size, and very fitting for Switzerland. The bathroom was modern and clean. The older building is beautiful and full of intrigue, and the room views were spectacular, just like a postcard. Next time I’d stay two nights and explore more of the town.

We spent two nights at this gorgeous little hotel and I was delighted to stay in Chriesi (Cherry) Room. Stansstad is a charming, beautiful place, and I very much hope to visit again. The bed was comfortable, the shower hot, and the hotel quiet. Staff were all very friendly. Breakfast was extremely good, both the buffet and the extra free items from the attached bakery. We appreciated the free fruit bowl outside the rooms too. Thank you for having us, Hotel Zum Beck!

At the hotel restaurant, the tap water came in a single glass and was overpriced, with no charge explained beforehand. The coffee was basic. The food and pastries were okay.

The room had a lovely vintage style, and the staff were very friendly. They did everything they could to help when our flight was delayed past check-in time, which made us feel at home. The breakfast was outstanding: we could choose our own omelets, have tea brewed, and get free pastries from the bakery near the hotel. An amazing hotel, very highly recommended!
