Deltapark Vitalresort

I spent 12 winter days at Deltapark and came away feeling recharged. The wellness and sauna area was very well maintained, and I felt my shoulder surgery pains ease quickly there. The hotel has a large indoor pool with warm salt water and a smaller heated outdoor pool. Both were clean and never crowded. There’s also a Finnish sauna, herbal sauna, steam bath, and a fun cooling area with spring mist, ice mist, autumn rain, and a warm summer thunderstorm shower. My room was spacious, with a lovely view of either the lake or the Stockhorn range. The staff looked after me so well, almost like Bubu, the cute cat who lives in the lobby. The restaurant is top quality, and between the generous breakfast buffet and creative dinners, I had to use the well-equipped fitness room every day to keep in shape. The surroundings are great for winter hikes. A trail follows the lakeshore to Thun, and you can take the cable car up to the Stockhorn for sweeping views of the Swiss Alps and Bernese Oberland. Vitalresort really is a fitting name for this wellness spot on Lake Thun. I thoroughly enjoyed the stay.

We had such a lovely long weekend tucked away at the spa. The hotel is thoughtfully designed, small and welcoming, with nothing over the top. It’s set in quiet nature, and we enjoyed walks by the lake, drinks at the lounge bar, a deeply relaxing sauna, and a massage. The team were so friendly and helpful, and both breakfast and dinner were high quality. We’ll definitely be back.

We finished our weekend with another spa visit and a really varied, delicious breakfast. Even at checkout, the receptionists were lovely. Before that, we’d had a delicious dinner and found the restaurant staff so warm. On arrival, the receptionist was incredibly sweet and patiently explained everything. We were impressed by the room, and the beds were really comfortable. The sauna, hammam, and indoor and outdoor pools were all great too. I can’t say enough good things about the place. I hope everyone involved sees this, thank you for taking such good care of us. I’ll recommend the hotel and come back whenever I can.

We got a nice 20% deal for two days with half board, staying at the Sportshaus beside the main building. The food was fantastic, service very good, and the lounge was comfortable with a good feel to it. The spa was excellent, especially the steam room, 80C sauna, and wet sauna. One tiny issue: the steam infusion button in the 80C sauna worked once, then didn’t work when I pressed it again. Hopefully I’ll be back!
