The river runs right beside the rooms, so you hear that gentle rush of water all around you. In a little wooded village, the hotel’s thoughtful design and elegant interiors came as a surprise. We ate beautifully throughout: the food looked like art and tasted like a dream, with the comfort and friendliness of a meal at home. The staff were cheerful, keen, and efficient. My compliments to the chef and the whole team. And to Madame who served us, I said I’d write a review, so here it is. Thank you for such gracious hospitality.

There’s a lot of potential here, and the setting is beautiful, but the hotel didn’t feel professionally run. The staff were friendly, yet seemed new and kept giving us misleading information. Our room was cold, the food was average, and the spa is tiny; the jacuzzi wasn’t working properly either. The Italian restaurant has a pizza oven, but honestly, I make better pizza at home. I wouldn’t recommend it and won’t return.

The area was just wow, and we had good food at the restaurant. We booked rather late and still got a great room with amazing views. The staff were an absolute 10/10, even when we got the checkout time mixed up. They were very relaxed about it. We’d love to visit again!

The breakfast buffet was the highlight for me, one of the best I’ve had, and the hotel’s Italian Restaurant was good too. I stayed one night at Hotel Rovanada. It’s been renovated in a modern, stylish way, especially the bar, which has a great design and fireplace. Our room hadn’t been renovated yet, but it was spacious, spotless, and had a great view. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
