The wine cellar was a fun feature, and the guest pass came with plenty of discounts. Leukerbad is only about 15-20 minutes away, too. We had booked a comfort room with a mountain view and no balcony, and it was quite nice. The bathroom felt especially modern, with a really large shower. I told them in advance that I was vegan, and they put out a few special breakfast items for me, which was lovely. I'd happily stay here again.

We were four people travelling with a baby, and everything worked out perfectly. The rooms were comfortable and fairly spacious, with a wonderful mountain view. Breakfast was fresh and delicious. We'd highly recommend staying here.

There's a wine cellar downstairs where you can taste the local wines, so it's worth getting there early. The village also has a wine trail. The building has plenty of character despite its modern feel, and it was renovated in 2016 by the local wine cooperative. There's even a lift. Our bedroom and bathroom were modern and clean, the breakfast was good, and the staff were friendly.

Varen is a small, idyllic mountain village, and we really enjoyed our few days at this B&B in September 2021. The woman at reception was very kind. Our room was modern and clean, and breakfast was delicious. For dinner, I'd suggest heading to Sierre, about 10-15 minutes away by car, where there are more restaurant options. Thanks again!
