The location is great and the food was okay, but the noise was awful. A group of 50 young people played beer pong until 2 a.m. Reception said we could call during the night, but that didn’t fix the problem. I think they tried to fill a room left over after the big group had booked the whole hostel, and they hadn’t told us. That was very poor on their part. Cleanliness was so-so, and there wasn’t even a mattress cover. Gross.

The views are breathtaking, and everything was clean and practical. The staff really went out of their way to look after us, and Erin deserves a special thank you. We only stayed one night, which was a shame, since we’d have liked to explore the area and make more use of the place. It’s a hostel for all sorts of guests, including travellers and school groups, so don’t expect a quiet mountain hideaway. And if you think it’s expensive, you may have missed which country you’re in.

The rooms are simple but always very clean, and the hosts are warm and friendly. I’ve stayed at Erlebacherhus many times and always have a wonderful time. I love the view, and the food is consistently great. It’s good value, and I’d gladly recommend it.

I usually book half board here because ski trips are expensive, and Erlebacherhus makes the cost manageable. For what you pay, it’s great value. If I get tired of skiing, I stop in for lunch right by the slope, then take a short rest in my room. I’m looking forward to staying again. The photo is from the dining area, what a view!

The views are impressive, and we were made to feel very welcome. We stayed in the huge room for 10. There were all kinds of activities on offer, including ping-pong, plus a sauna and hot tub under the stars. An amazing place I’d recommend to everyone.
