When I stayed in 2022, I loved how close the hotel was to everything a visitor might need: the lake, nearby patisserie and groceries, a laundromat around the corner, and delicious food. I can’t wait to come back in 2025. It can get hot in summer, since air conditioning is rare in Europe. Go for a swim.

The good parts were the location and the staff. The room wasn’t nice, and the pillows were really uncomfortable. It got extremely hot without air conditioning, and the little fan barely helped. Breakfast was terrible. For the price, I definitely wouldn’t recommend it.

The 15 Franc breakfast was very basic, and it made more sense to walk down the road to a bakery. Apart from that, I had a pleasant stay, with good facilities. The location was great, the room was clean, and the staff were kind.

The service was nice and attentive, and I enjoyed the wine. I was invited for dinner and hadn’t realized it was also a hotel. The food was okay, but the portions were very small and the quality was so-so. I expected more from a restaurant like this. The coffee was a shock: it came from an automatic machine and tasted like water, especially surprising in Swisserland, which has some of the best sip machines.

The room was okay and clean, though there was a bit of mould in the shower. The location was great, but the service was poor. The place was closed most of the time, and the staff seemed inexperienced. Outside was noisy, and parking was complicated. Even with four days’ notice, I got no refund for trying to leave a day early. There was little attention to detail, though the receptionist was very friendly when available. I’m never booking this one again.
