Hôtel Masson

Really beautiful hotel, with helpful staff and a nice breakfast. The only reason I’m giving it four stars is getting there on foot from the public bus. The hill is tough for most people, especially with luggage. It’s no issue if you arrive by car, Uber, or taxi, but keep it in mind if mobility is a concern.

What made our stay at Hotel Masson special was how warmly everyone treated us. Simona and her team were attentive throughout, helping with recommendations and special requests and checking that we were comfortable. Simona always greeted us with a genuine smile, and the whole staff was polite and professional. We felt cared for as guests, not just processed as customers. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, and the hotel itself has plenty of charm and character. It was a peaceful place to come back to after sightseeing. The train and bus station are not far away, so getting around the area was convenient too. Hotel Masson clearly puts a lot of thought into making people feel at home. Our stay was comfortable and memorable, and we’d choose it again if we return. It’s a lovely place for a short visit or a longer holiday.

The grounds are lovely, the food is the best, and the staff are kind, friendly, and helpful. Hotel Masson is a real jewel and well worth a stay. It’s the oldest hotel in the area, so the floorboards squeak a bit, but that just adds to its charm. Thank you, Hotel Masson!

We loved the cozy rooms and their beautiful decor, and breakfast was great too. The balconies look out over the lake, with stunning views. It’s a bit of a walk from downtown Montreux, but well worth it. This is a gorgeous historic hotel that’s been running for 200 years, and we’ll stay here again next time we’re in town.
