Hôtel du Quai

I wouldn't stay here again. The room was small and poker, and had no balcony despite being advertised with one. There was no a/c and barely any toiletries, just two little soaps and one dispenser. Breakfast was across the road and poorly organized.

The location is beautiful, but the way management and staff handled our stay was extremely unprofessional. This was my second time here. At 11:30 pm, our door was unlocked and opened. We were told there had been a booking mistake and they didn't know our room was occupied. The next morning they said we had the dates wrong without first asking to see our confirmation. Once we showed the booking details, they said the booking system had a problem. They did apologize, but blaming guests like that was unacceptable. We asked for some kind of compensation and were offered CHF 2, after paying CHF 178 for the room that night. Unacceptable.

We had a wonderful view and great restaurants nearby, and enjoyed our stay in this quiet town on Lake Geneve. The price was good for the location, and even though our room was right beside the road, the noise didn't disturb our sleep. The beds were very comfortable. Some minor updates to the room would help, but everything worked. Downstairs renovations have been completed and look very nice. Highest compliments to Adriana, our hostess at the front desk and for breakfast.

The receptionist gave us the warmest welcome, and breakfast was nicely served, though it was added to the bill. The booking agent showed breakfast as included, but the email confirmation said it wasn't, so I learned to take a screenshot of those pages. The room was tiny for the price, and the bedsheets had stains. Not worth the stay.
