The only real problem was noise from the people next door, who stayed loud until after midnight and were hard to tune out. I tried two rooms, one upstairs and one on the ground floor, and both were clean, comfortable, and had two single beds. I preferred the upper room because it was quieter and had a balcony. The rooms and bathrooms were well looked after. The hotel is about a 15-minute, 900-meter walk from Visp station, uphill but manageable.

We had a lovely time, especially thanks to Mrs. Valentina, who greeted us warmly and handled everything professionally. She suggested a festival in Brig, and our family had a great time there. Brig is a pretty nearby town with busy streets and lots of cafés. The hotel is quiet, surrounded by nature, and has unforgettable views. It was very clean, the rooms matched the pictures and were comfortable and well kept, and the whole team was friendly and helpful. Everyone spoke English, which made things easy.

The food is tasty, with simple dishes that let you enjoy the ingredients without leaving you stuffed. The rooms look just like the pictures, and there’s plenty of space. I’d pick this place whether I’m travelling alone, with one other person, or with family. A good base for outdoor activities.

I’m deeply upset by how the hotel handled our family emergency. I had booked a room for my mother near a hospital in Visp after my father suffered a serious skiing accident at the Zermatt ski resort. When we were told he needed to be transferred to Zurich, I asked to cancel, but the hotel refused. His condition later meant the transfer was called off and he had to have surgery at the Visp hospital. I contacted the hotel again to ask for a reservation change, and they again said they couldn’t help. In circumstances this serious, that response felt rigid and completely lacking in consideration. The staff showed no empathy or support, and the hotel seemed indifferent to what our family was going through. I can’t recommend it to anyone hoping for basic understanding in a difficult situation. I hope others consider this experience before trusting a hotel that showed so little care or compassion.
