We had a lake view from our clean, comfortable, quiet room, and the Hotel Rigi was a lovely base for two nights. The staff were wonderful, and the restaurant food stood out, especially the autumn game dish. There was also a nice selection of Swiss wines. Our waitress deserves a mention: she was funny and happy to help with anything, including bringing my partner a breakfast tray. The shower was another surprise, with a disco light built into the showerhead. It was fun, and the shower itself was perfect. We want one at home. The little bar has a lot of atmosphere, but smoking is allowed there. I thought that had disappeared ages ago. It may be legal in the canton, but it makes the bar unsuitable for non-smokers, which is most of us. A small downside, though not the end of the world. We hope to return. Highly recommended.

We only stopped in for a drink while passing through, since we weren't staying at the hotel. Stephan was a fantastic bartender and we had a great conversation with him. I work in a bar, and that was the best espresso martini I've ever had. Don't miss the chance to stop for a simple drink.

We showed up in the area with no reservations, and they found room for my family. I wasn't expecting much, but the meal turned out to be amazing. Everything felt carefully prepared, and everyone enjoyed it. Most of us chose fish, and we all loved it. The staff were friendly and helpful, and I'd definitely recommend the place.

My husband and I had a really nice meal, with local beer and wine and very good food. The service was lovely too. You can tell it's a good spot when locals are eating there.
