Visionapartments Zurich Binzmühlestrasse 50

We stayed in room BA03. The listing said there was both a dining room and a living room, but there was no sofa or anything like one. We booked for three people and only got two chairs. There was no WiFi for five days.

The room was mostly clean, and the towels and bedsheets were spotless. There was some grime around the edges of the light switches, though it wasn't sticky, so I wiped them with a damp cloth. The old building is in good condition, clean, and free of bad smells, with a traditional elevator. Finding it was easy with Google Maps, and it's a five-minute walk from the train station. It's also only two train stops from Zurich HB. A shopping center, supermarkets, and restaurants are all within a 5-8 minute walk. I was a bit shocked by all the bird droppings around the entrance.

The filth under the bed was the worst part: dust and fluff mixed with things previous guests had dropped, including old tissues. I could have put up with a room that felt like a step above a prison cell, but not that mess. The place is badly maintained, with cracked and peeling paint in the room. The entrance isn't signposted and sits down a dark alley that looks like a car park entrance. The elevator is tiny, and some corridor and floor lights don't work. I had to use my phone torch to see the keypad on my door.

The shower and hot water were perfect, and the furniture is new, though it needs a thorough clean. The apartment itself was dirty, with only the linens and towels clean. The lighting was awful, and getting in touch with the property was terrible. It's fine for two days, but there's a lot to improve. I won't book with Visionapartaments again.
