St Gotthard Hotel

I picked it for the central location, just a five-minute walk from the main train station. My room was quite small and generally well kept, though the carpets looked a little grubby and worn. It had a Nespresso coffee machine, fridge, and safe. Fine for a short stay, and handy for shopping, with plenty of restaurants and bars nearby.

This was my third stay at Hotel St. Gotthard, and I’d like to stay there again in future. I love the hotel, though this time it didn’t have the warmth I’d come to expect, and my room felt quite small for the roughly 250 Swizz Franks I paid for a day. I’m grateful the team let me check in early as I’d requested.

The care and kindness from everyone made our stay feel extra merry. The front desk staff were thoughtful and really helpful in making sure we got the most out of our time there, and the porters were always welcoming, smiling, and kind. I especially loved breakfast each morning. Everyone was attentive and genuinely hospitable. Lluna Mileno and Siham Benbati deserve a special shout out. They’re a joy to be around and brought warmth and professionalism to every interaction, making our mornings brighter. Everyone I met was a pleasure. Thank you all so much!

The rooms are spacious, the breakfast pastries are tasty, and the location in the heart of Zurich couldn’t be better. I travel to Zurich often and never consider another hotel. It’s always a fantastic stay, with amazing staff who are helpful and super accommodating.
