Statt Zurich

There isn't a reception desk. The staff were in the bar and recognized me as a guest when I arrived with my suitcase, then handed me the room key. At checkout, I just dropped the key-card in the mailbox by the entrance. I'd never stayed somewhere without a reception before, so I was a little nervous on the way there, but it turned out to be a very good hotel. I like traveling around Europe by train and stopped in Zurich on my way to Italy. The room photos caught my eye, and I liked the room when I saw it. The walk from the central station takes 10-15 minutes and isn't too stressful with a suitcase. There's lovely scenery along the river, and lots of restaurants on “Niederdorfstrasse” just behind the hotel. I'll be back!

The room was so well thought out and complete that I really admire whoever designed it. The coffee was delicious, the bed comfortable, and it was perfectly quiet at night, so I slept very well. The staff were extremely friendly too. I stayed alone, though two people might find the room a little tight. I spent two nights here in Zurich and was pleasantly surprised. I hadn't expected much before booking, but got a wonderful room for a reasonable price in a perfect spot right by the Limmat River. No flaws that I could find. Highly recommend it, and I'll stay here again on my next trip to Zurich.

The room was on the small side, but the location is excellent, close to the city center and public transport. A very good place to stay in Zürich, and I'd definitely recommend it.

The room felt run down, and there was no TV remote. Dirty laundry bags were scattered along the hallway. It's loud enough that I couldn't open the window. Check-in happens in a cocktail bar with music, and people smoking outside made the place feel unsafe.
