Phillip made my arrival in Switzerland a lot easier after a rough train trip. Somewhere between Milan and Lugano, one of my bags had been stolen, and I wasn't in a good mood when I reached the hotel. He welcomed me, brought over a refreshing drink, and explained the hotel services and its restaurants. Since my adapters were in the missing bag, he also lent me one so I could charge my phone and other things. The room is spectacular, and the lake view from a private terrace or balcony is worth paying extra for. I haven't checked out yet, but I wanted to thank Phillip and the rest of the staff for making my first stay in Switzerland pleasant and memorable.

Lina served us twice and was wonderful, especially helpful and kind to us as first-time visitors from the USA. We also had a peaceful morning, using the sauna and then jumping into the lake. Everything you'd need in Vitznau is an easy walk away, and Mount Rigi was stunning. Of the four places we stayed in Switzerland, this was our favorite. The views were perfect and breakfast was truly wonderful. We're really sad to leave, and we'll be back!

This elegant historic hotel sits on Lake Lucerne and has been beautifully refurbished. The lakeside restaurant serves delicious food, and the staff are attentive, helpful, and available. Such a relaxing place to stay. We'll definitely return.

Vitznauerhof has felt like home to me for 26 years, thanks to the warm encounters, mutual respect, and lasting trust and friendship with the whole team. When I visited again, it felt like more than a home. After two years of no longer being self-employed, I resumed that work on October 1, 2025. I love helping brides at this wonderful hotel with their bridal hairstyles and the perfect makeup. Thank you to everyone at Vitznauerhof for our long friendship and mutual trust. A real treasure in the middle of Switzerland. The hotel is in a beautiful setting, with charming decor and warm, friendly staff throughout. The food deserves a special mention: it's based on a modern, seasonal vegetarian approach, with animal-based produce as an add-on. Beautifully prepared and served with warmth and skill. Highly recommended.
