Staying here with my family during our Zurich holiday felt just like being at home. The hospitality was perfect, and I loved the art gallery concept. Breakfast, service, room, everything was really good. Can't wait to come back.

We booked online and arrived late, but the entry code let us into the front door. Inside, everything was clearly explained, with descriptions and a breakfast order form, so we didn't need anyone there to walk us through it. We only met someone at breakfast, where a nice, talkative gentleman made coffee and eggs and checked that we had everything we needed. It's a memorable place for a special trip, like our short weekend at the Zürisee, rather than an everyday stay. It seems to be in an old industrial building. There are only a few rooms, each with its own name and theme instead of a uniform look. The furniture is great quality, the bed and pillows were perfect for a good night's sleep, and the shower was good, with shampoo and shower gel.

We stayed in the 007 room, with a huge, very comfortable bed and lots of pillows. The hotel is just three doors from the Metro station in Au, and it's decorated in a deliberate, beautiful artsy style. The ambience feels warm and quietly affluent, and the diffuser gave the room a homely, rich scent. The staff are genuinely ready to help and make sure you're looked after. Their hands-on approach makes you feel like you belong and are especially welcome. I liked that all the decor was for sale, so you can buy anything you like on your way out. It makes sense, as the hotel is attached to an art store.

The decor is unique and everything feels very high quality. The staff were really friendly, and we felt comfortable throughout. We also got lots of tips for our time in Zurich and the surrounding area. It's a really great new concept, and everything was well prepared.
