We visited in August and loved the calm, historic feel and cozy interiors. Our room had a breathtaking mountain view and a small private balcony, lovely for a romantic trip. Breakfast was included and delicious, with plenty of hot dishes and bakery items. The restaurant was great, and the staff were friendly. It’s a short walk from Wengen station, but the uphill route can be hard on bag wheels. With luggage, I’d recommend booking the hotel shuttle ahead to avoid waiting. The hotel is also well placed for Lauterbrunnen, Jungfroah and other tourist areas. I’d highly recommend staying here.

The hotel’s central location makes it easy to ski in and out. Its atmosphere and history add a lot, and it has held on to its authentic character. The founders would be proud of today’s team. The staff are efficient and helpful, and they make a real effort to give guests the best service they can.

This lovely hotel has an old world charm that’s carefully kept up. I arrived very late after a multi day hike, and the welcome was so warm it felt like they’d been waiting just for me. I’d absolutely recommend it.

The views from my window are still on my mind. Our room at Hotel Falken was spacious and spotless, with a large, comfortable bathroom and a balcony. Some people may call the hotel dated, but I thought that added to its charm. It’s quaint, the food and breakfast buffet are good, and the mountain scenery is unbeatable. With so many expensive places in a town like this that don’t have mountain views, I can’t see why you’d choose one of those. I’d recommend Hotel Falken to anyone visiting Wengen.

We never stayed at this historic hotel, but came for its set-course dinner on three different nights. Each day brought a completely different four-course meal, which I’ve found is something unique among Wengen restaurants. Everything was delicious, especially the quiche, guinea fowl and homemade cheesecake. The setting is beautiful and romantic, with a feeling of stepping back in time. Live music makes it a special treat. Call ahead to reserve.
