Alex Lodge Zermatt – Private Luxury Apartments

We were on the third floor in a spacious apartment with four bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. The living room opened into the dining area and kitchen, and the furniture was lovely and well kept. Pamela was welcoming and helpful. Fresh bread arrived at the door each day, and the fridge had butter, jam, sparkling water, juice, and milk. The coffee machine was stocked with enough coffee for our stay. From the living room balcony, we had an awesome Matterhorn view, and the location was quiet. Shops and restaurants are about a 10-minute walk downhill, though the return uphill takes some effort. Two bedrooms had only ceiling windows, so there was no easy way to cool them at night when it got warm. Opening the windows in the other two rooms helped a lot. Checkout was set for 10 a.m., which felt early for a vacation, but Pamela let us stay until 11 when we asked.

It felt more like home than a lodge, with everything provided and a nice atmosphere. The management was especially helpful when we lost our laptop bag at Visp station. Pamella ma'am helped us get it back, even though it wasn't her responsibility. This was the best place I came across in Switzerland.

The host was incredibly generous and hospitable. The apartment itself was beautiful, luxurious, and in an amazing location.

Really nice place, close to the ski infrastructure.
