I’m writing to confirm that I left my Harman Kardon portable Bluetooth wireless speaker in room No. 43 on the fourth floor of Alpenblick Hotel during my stay in Zermatt, Switzerland, on December 23, 2025. I called the hotel on the morning of December 24, 2025. Receptionist Carol answered, contacted housekeeping, and confirmed that the speaker had been found. I asked the hotel to keep it under my name, Joel Te, Philippines, so someone could collect it on my behalf. Carol agreed, and the item is being stored under that name. The receptionists were helpful, professional, and kind, especially Carol. The whole team was hospitable. Please acknowledge this as confirmation of the stored item and its owner. I contacted Expedia about the service problems and the manager’s behavior, and they stepped in and resolved it right away. The trouble started at checkout, when I raised a legitimate concern about my booking and the manager/owner responded with hostility instead of having a calm conversation. I found the behavior aggressive and unprofessional. Five stars for Expedia support, zero for this hotel’s management. Avoid the place if professional service matters to you.

There are great Matterhorn views from the rooms, and some also have balconies. Breakfast was adequate, though less substantial than at other hotels nearby. The hotel is at the top of a hill, as plenty of places in Zermatt are, and sits on essentially the same road as the main plaza by the train station. From the station, turn left and head uphill to find it. You’ll do a lot of walking around here, so comfortable shoes are a good idea. We saw plenty of unhappy people hauling wheeled suitcases along the cobblestones. A taxi to the main station is at least $35, so treat yourself to one when arriving at or leaving the hotel. All in all, it’s a nice place to stay.

We appreciated the shuttle service to and from Zermatt station, available at special rates. Breakfast also had a good spread. Our room at Alpenblick Zermatt was cozy and spacious, with a large balcony overlooking the mountains and a clean, fully equipped kitchen. The temperature is set to 21 degrees C, so guests coming from tropical climates may find evenings a bit cool. Closing the windows at night made the room get remarkably warm.
