Kaya Zurich Wiedikon

It was the time of year when you remember another year has gone by and feel you should treat yourself, even if just to mark making it through. I decided on a once-in-a-lifetime trip on the Bernina Express through the Swiss and Italian Alps, over 196 bridges and through 55 tunnels, climbing to an incredible engineering height of 2,253m. We spent one night at the Kaya Apartments. It was clean and comfortable, easy to find, and close to essential amenities. The access instructions were clear and simple. The Tramsheds across the road were interesting to see, and didn’t bother us. If anything, they gave the neighborhood some character. There’s a good choice of nearby restaurants, though eating out can put a dent in your debit or credit card. A nicely decorated, clean apartment. My only complaint is the 10am checkout, an hour earlier than most.
