Townhouse Boutique Hotel

The room was lovely and spacious, and the staff were great, especially the kind, helpful team in the coffee shop/restaurant. The hotel's ideally located near the train station and old town. Loved Zürich!

The rooms aren't especially spacious, but everything is well maintained. The hotel sits right by the hbf, tucked away on a side street, so it's quiet and a handy base for getting around. If you're planning to spend your time inside the hotel instead of exploring outside, you might want to find a spa instead ;)

The towels were clean, and the gentleman at reception was polite. But the shower handle didn't work and the floors were soiled. There was no phone for contacting reception, and the TV channels weren't connected. Blu-ray movies could be borrowed at reception. The elevator is very small and old-fashioned.

The location is hard to beat, just a two-minute walk from Zürich HB, and the staff were exceptionally courteous and helpful. My room was clean and comfortable, and the service was impeccable. Still, with rates this high, the hotel's standard could be raised to match. The basics are already strong, but the property needs more modern upgrades and improvements to its facilities. With investment, Townhouse Boutique Hotel could stand out among the best in central Zurich. I don't know how financing works here, but perhaps different funding options, even bank financing, could help make those changes. The location, cleanliness, and wonderful staff are all there. With serious upgrades, Townhouse Boutique Hotel could become exceptional.
