A really appalling place. The hotel is in the middle of nowhere, with no nearby beach access, and breakfast was terrible. The bread seemed at least a week old, and I was overcharged. I had booked through the booking app with a parking space. The night before, we agreed I could get my motorbike through an empty room to the back door. In the morning, the receptionist shouted at me for going that way, saying the room could have been occupied. Two minutes later it was locked, because apparently some guests had checked in at 7 a.m. and been given the room that leads to the yard they call a car park. I was told to walk around the block to reach my bike, and they gave me the wrong key. After I said I'd leave a bad review, they cancelled my booking in the app to try to stop me, apparently forgetting I had proof of payment. The staff were shockingly rude. This was one of the worst hotel stays I've had.

The owner and staff were friendly and very helpful. The room was basic, but it had a hot shower and what we needed. The spot is great, near the beach and about a five-minute walk from a big mall. We enjoyed staying there. Breakfast was great, though we were surprised to have to choose between eggs and jam. I'd recommend the place.

It's a family-run walk-up, and it gets hot inside with no AC. The beach isn't very close, either. The entry buzzer was loud enough to keep me awake all night. From 7:00 am, housekeeping banged brooms and mops against the hallway iron railings, but my room was never cleaned. Conversations from both staff and guests carried loudly through the building.

The covered rooftop terrace had a very good breakfast and a view over the ocean and city. The lobby courtyard is enclosed and comfortable, and the room was nice. Staff were friendly and helpful. You can walk to the beach and restaurants using the stairs at the end of Brasil St. Markets and other businesses are a short walk away, and the domestic and international bus terminals are only a few minutes away by taxi.
