After Latam overbooked my flight, the airline made us stay at this hotel. I expected the staff to show some understanding, but the restaurant workers were rude and disrespectful. The receptionist was nice, though. The blonde woman in the restaurant was the worst. The place looks like it hasn't been updated since 1978. If you speak English, DO NOT STAY HERE! Update: The food was bland, unseasoned, and overcooked. The "salad" was just lettuce and half a tomato.

The rooms were spotless, spacious, and very comfortable, and the food was excellent. Staff at Diego were attentive and welcoming from check-in through the whole stay. We had a delightful, memorable visit, and I'd strongly suggest considering an upgrade to your room category. I wholeheartedly recommend visiting.

Everything was neat and nice, and it's an excellent hotel for a business trip. The lobby, though, is a large space with too little furniture. If people wanted to meet business associates there, there wouldn't be enough seats.

The hotel is okay for a small city, but the air conditioner in my room didn't work, so I couldn't sleep well.

Among the three Diego de Almagro hotels in Calama, I think this is the most basic in Chile, perhaps because so many people come to Calama for work. The room was average at best and hot, with no way to control the temperature. The restaurant wasn't good enough either, and their Pandemic management was poor, with the rooms full of people. I wouldn't recommend this hotel.
