Louis is incredibly kind and welcoming, the friendliest host I’ve met in South America. The room itself was maybe a four out of ten, but he’s a ten. The kitchen wasn’t very clean, and the bathroom was a mess. I’m a backpacker, so I used the kitchen anyway, but someone squeamish might not be comfortable with it. I booked a private room for two nights in Calama. If I came back, I’d have a drink with the owner, then sleep somewhere else.
We had a lovely few days here. It was quiet, comfortable, and very clean, with excellent service and great prices. Thank you, Hostal Eleuterio Ramirez. We’ll be back soon, and highly recommend staying here.
Even with an official reservation through Booking, they opened the door, searched us, then shut it in our faces and left us standing in the street. Terrible behavior!
There’s plenty of space, and it works well for an overnight stay. The staff are very friendly. Bring coats.
The price and service met expectations. The owners are wonderful people, with excellent human qualities. Highly recommended.
