Patapata Hostel

During the roughly two weeks I stayed at the hostel on and off, I saw the owner drinking every time I encountered her. She doesn't live there, but comes by often to drink with friends, or on her own. One Thursday evening, she played extremely loud music and shouted and partied until nearly 4:00 in the morning, while a hostel guest was in his room with food poisoning, vertigo, stomach problems, and a headache. We asked her to turn the volume down, but she made it even louder. She seemed to show no empathy for her guests at all. It felt ruthless and disrespectful.

Geanina was so kind and suggested places for us to eat and visit. The location is very good too, close to the main walks and murals. A great place to relax.

It's a cute little hostel, with clean, cozy double beds and no dorm beds. Right in the center of the artists' quarter, it's quiet with no traffic noise. Small stores, cute cafes, and restaurants are all within walking distance, and buses leave from 3 minutes away. The owner was really helpful and friendly.
