Geotel Calama

We stayed with friends and had a pleasant visit. The rooms were really spacious, and the beds were comfortable. The hotel is well maintained, and I'd consider staying again. Breakfast choices were a bit limited. Also, the sinks and baths had no plugs, so you couldn't soak in the bath even though the hotel has one. This affected several rooms, not just mine.

The buffet breakfast was included, and we were within walking distance of a supermarket. Check-out at 12 pm worked perfectly for our travels. We stayed one night while passing through on the way to San Pedro, and the room was ideal for our family of 4, with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Yes, I'd stay here again.

The staff were great, always friendly and extremely helpful. The location seemed convenient to me, though I can't say much about it. Rooms were spacious and clean. I'd rate the room 5 stars if they supplied more water, since tap water in calama isn't really good for anything, sorry, and had more sockets where you'd need them, like by the bedside table.

The restaurant was great, though the a la carte service could have been faster. Most people chose the buffet, which I skipped, it's 22k. Staff were everywhere and ready to help. Check-in was quick, and the welcome drink, breakfast, and parking were all included. When we called reception about the missing hairdryer, we got it within 10 minutes, and they speak English! For the price, this was BY FAR the best accommodation I've had during my travels across south america. Thanks, and keep up the good work.
