Patricio picked me up from the bus station, then offered to show me around the city, and we did just that. I also went on a private island tour with him and Marcia, which was fantastic. Meeting them and staying at their hostel gave me wonderful memories of the island and this amazing couple.

The view is stunning, and the place is really comfortable. The DJ's music choices were the one drawback, since he played whatever he liked. The MC talked too much as well. They should take his microphone away and refresh the playlist.

We had a great stay and I'd definitely come back. The hostel has a rustic style that fits the area's architecture, with a homey warmth that's hard to find on vacation. It's very clean, the Wi-Fi is stable, and the laundry is affordable for any budget. The person running it was always ready to help and show us around Castro.
