Palafitos Emilio y Ester

The common area was lovely, with a wood-fire stove used for cooking, heating the house, and drying laundry. Bathrooms are shared but very clean, and breakfast is plentiful, made fresh by Nadia and Henry. They’re wonderful hosts who look after the palafito, which used to belong to Henry's grandparents, with real love and pride. My small, cosy room had a nice window looking onto the beautiful surroundings. I spent 4 day there and loved sharing the house with this couple and the other guests. It felt like being welcomed by friends, and everyone felt at home. There was always good conversation and stories around the table, with plenty of laughter. It’s hard to ask for more from a real chilote experience.

Emilio y Ester's Palafito is a truly special home on the water, beautifully kept, clean, cosy, and full of charm. Nanny and Henry were incredibly kind and accommodating, and easy to communicate with. Breakfast by the wood stove in the kitchen with the other guests was a real pleasure. It’s also well located. The experience was unforgettable, and I absolutely recommend this timeless palafito for an authentic stay in magical Chiloé.

The owners Naddia and Henri clearly take pride in Palafitos Emilio y Ester, a quaint home with lots of character and history, and they love sharing it with guests. Their care and personal attention show in the plentiful hot water, strong wifi, and tasty breakfast.

It was easy to settle in and get a good night's sleep, and the location made it convenient to visit several places. The hosts were so kind and ready to help with anything. I'm really grateful for the stay.
