Hosteria Huemules

Puerto Guadal doesn’t have much to do, which was exactly why I liked it, a break from the tourist bustle. I planned a shorter visit but stayed three nights, and this became my favorite place in Patagonia, maybe one of my favorite stays ever. Viviane is so sweet, warm, welcoming, and helpful, and I looked forward to her great breakfasts each morning. The rooms are clean and lovely, with stylish, homey decor, gorgeous bay views, and showers with hot water and good pressure. There’s no room heater, just heated mattress blankets, which got very hot. I would have liked somewhere to sit and read in the evening, but I just snuggled up in bed instead, haha. All the rooms are on the second floor, so it won’t work for anyone who can’t manage stairs. The price was very fair. I hope to come back one day.

Larissa was a lovely host, and we really enjoyed our time there. The breakfast was fresh, with homemade bread and everything you could wish for. You can use the kitchen and common rooms to make coffee or tea, too. Definitely recommended.

The hosts were just great, so helpful and hospitable that I wish everyone in the world were like them. We had some lovely conversations in the evenings about how we see life. We didn’t always agree, but we respected each other’s opinions, as it should be. Muchísimas gracias for the hospitality. This is one of the nicest places we’ve visited in Chile, with beautiful sights nearby.

The breakfast made our stay at Hostería Huemules especially memorable. We chose the breakfast option and got fresh, delicious local products. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the whole place felt peaceful and cozy, just right for disconnecting. From the moment we arrived, the owners were warm and friendly and made us feel at home. If you want somewhere quiet and clean with kind service, this is a great choice.
