A very special spot, a little green haven between two cities.

The owners are so kind and friendly, and breakfast is generous and top-notch. The house and its surroundings are beautiful, with comfortable rooms for relaxing and lots of outdoor space. I’d come back a thousand times.

The owners, Rocío and Nico, are easily the best part, so friendly and warm. Rivendell is a beautiful hostel on Cerro Esperanza, with a stunning ocean view and a great location right on the border with Viña del Mar. It’s a convenient base for visiting both cities.

The excellent service, delicious breakfast, and clean rooms were good, but I left disappointed because the experience didn’t match what the photos showed. The bathrooms were much too small, the shared areas badly neglected, and when we visited, the spa services weren’t available to use.

Rivendell has so much charm, the kind of place Tolkien would be proud of. It feels like home, the staff are excellent, and the owners, Rocío and Nico, are incredibly friendly and always around to help.
