There’s plenty nearby, including a big market, shops, cafés, restaurants, pubs, and Valparaiso points of interest, all an easy walk away. The hostel is clean, with a kitchen for cooking, good Wi-Fi, and facilities that seem fairly new. Our room was small but comfortable, with a nice double bed. The owner and manager was really friendly. The shower tray is tiny, and the pub downstairs has live music that can make nights loud, though after a full day out it may not bother you much. The room was so narrow there was only space for a double bed and a nightstand, and its tiny ventilation window didn’t help. The private bathroom was just as cramped, nowhere near 10 square meters. The listing claimed 20 square meters, which was nowhere close. The place looked old and badly maintained, so I lost my reservation fee. It was listed on Booking.com for $35,000.

The owner was attentive and very friendly whenever we needed something. But nights were really noisy, with sounds from pubs, musicians, and people singing or dancing in the street. If you’re young and into student life or partying, you might be happy there, haha. I wouldn’t count on getting much sleep.

There’s a café on site, which I really liked, and the place has a fun bohemian feel for anyone looking to go out and enjoy themselves. The location is excellent and the service was great. I’d definitely come back.

Rodolfo gave us excellent service, and the place is in a great location. Our only issue was that our room faced the Cat in the Window. The bar side really needs better soundproofing!
