Hostal Lejana Patagonia

The reception lady speaks great English and helped me find a restaurant and arrange an early breakfast. My single room with a private bathroom was spotlessly clean, with a very comfortable bed, and the location is right in the middle of town. Breakfast is simple, but definitely enough. To me, this is almost a hotel at a hostel price. I recommend it!

We stayed upstairs and were super cozy, with the most comfortable beds we've had so far! The breakfast is unreal, and we felt so well looked after here. Five stars!

I'm sad to give one star, but I was disgusted by how the two employees, a guy from Colombia and another lady, treated us on the evening of December 1st. We were sleeping in a ground-floor room near the common area and dining room. Around 10 pm, we asked if they could keep it down so we could sleep. They said quiet hours started after 11, which seemed fair. But after 11, we asked again if they could stop talking and listening to music in front of our room. They were extremely rude and said, and I quote, “This is already the third time you asked (it was the first time after 11 pm), if we want to keep talking we will, and we can do what we want to because this is a hostel. Oh and you should buy earplugs.” Really? We'd just been told it was quiet hours after 11, but apparently that didn't apply. We're paying customers, and the way they treated us was awful. It's sad that two terrible people can ruin what should have been a nice stay. They refuse to take responsibility for their behavior and keep saying we were at fault. All we did was ask them to be quiet so we could sleep. That's what we paid for in the end.

The only downside is that there's no kitchen guests can use, but the breakfast is very good. They even prepared a small package for me when I had to leave before breakfast started. The staff are very welcoming, and the place is clean and cozy, with a great hot shower and good value for money. I can only recommend this hostal.
