Los Magnolios

I’m from Penco and called to ask about staying for two nights near the airport. I’m moving to Santiago permanently in two days and have to leave the apartment where I currently live. The woman who answered asked where I was from, then said they only take people from farther away, not Penco. I asked if that meant I had to come from Antofagasta to stay there, and she replied, “Yes, from Antofagasta.” It’s awful dealing with people who shouldn’t be serving the public that supports them.

A pleasant, simple place for an extended stay. The apartments have an aparthotel feel, with no extra services, and the building is low rise with plain architecture.

There’s plenty of convenient parking, and the apartment itself feels thoughtfully put together. The bedrooms are neat and nicely decorated; the bathrooms are roomy, clean, and comfortable. The kitchen has all the basics and more, including utensils, a kettle, and a stove, so you have what you need to settle in and spend the day there.

The neighborhood is beautiful and so quiet that it hardly feels like a big city. Inside, the place is clean, tidy, welcoming, and peaceful. Staff are friendly and respectful, and it feels like home. I recommend it 10,000%.
