Terrano Hotel

The breakfast itself was good, but when the dining area got crowded, we couldn't get the food we wanted. Tables were usually dirty unless we asked someone to clean them, or did it ourselves. There didn't seem to be enough staff for basic tasks. The waiters and waitresses also seemed overworked and were doing long shifts. After the first day of our event, nobody even swept the floor. I ended up picking up trash myself, despite paying for good service. We had more than 1,400 people at our event in Concepcion, but this hotel doesn't deserve publicity from us. We came from Santiago for an event at the convention center and stayed here. The reception staff were rude on several occasions. We'd asked for two triple rooms, each with a double bed and an extra single, but were given three single beds in each room. When we asked to change them, Sara (or Sandra) Garrido answered rudely, didn't apologize, and said there was no option, adding, "this is the way hotels work." I explained that we'd traveled around the country and always stayed at the hotel connected to whichever convention center hosted our events, and this had never happened before. She made us feel like a burden, even though we were renting the convention center and paying for our rooms. The rooms were very small for three people. Wall sockets were loose and hanging out, and none of the three keys we had worked. This kept sending me back to reception and wasted time I didn't have while organizing the event. On the last day, I took everything I needed with me in the morning and didn't return until night. One of our staff needed to wash her baby's clothes. They asked her to put the dirty items in a bag, but nobody picked it up, leaving the baby without clothes to wear. When we complained, the receptionist I'd mentioned said laundry service was closed on weekends. They should have told us that beforehand so we could find another service in the city. She was rude about it, too. I don't recommend this hotel at all.

I'd look for another option. The carpets are stained and the rooms smell odd, which makes the poor maintenance hard to miss. The first floor is okay apart from the dirty pool. Food was decent, but made with low quality ingredients and the meals were high in fat.

It's now called wingham hotel, and I think it's an excellent place to stay. I'm not sure whether the prices are reasonable, but they should be. If you visit Concepcion, I hope you enjoy your stay and get a good rest.

The room was great and kept clean, and the service was nice. The people were lovely, though I wasn't impressed by the restaurant.
