Breakfast was disappointing when we finally saw it: stale bread and barely any choice. They do offer breakfast, but nobody explained the schedule or how it worked. Check-in was just as disorganized, with no basic information, and no manager or person in charge showed up during my stay. Even toilet paper wasn't provided, and we hadn't been told to bring our own. The room was a decent size but had almost no ventilation. Cigarette smoke smelled strong all night, and the cleanliness was unacceptable. The bathroom was just as bad or worse: the shower worked off and on, and hot water came sporadically. Although the hostel is in a central area of Coyhaique, the surroundings felt clearly unsafe, and its neglected facade gave an immediate impression of abandonment. Poor service, poor facilities and no organization. I wouldn't recommend it under any circumstances or return. At least we only stayed one night.

On my first night, the bed and room were infested with bed bugs. I was covered in bites and had to throw away clothes because of it. I have proof. The hygiene was poor, the service terrible, and both the facilities and facade were deplorable. There's a pest problem. Customer support has been abysmal. They claim this is the first time it's happened, even though the infestation is already widespread. What happened is shameful, and I'm seriously considering filing a complaint with the relevant SEREMI (Regional Ministerial Secretariat). It was an awful experience. Think twice before staying here, even for one night.

Very comfortable, and the location is even better: close to the main square and across from two large supermarkets. There are bedrooms and bathrooms, plus a kitchen and common area.

The central location and the adequate heating and bedding were the good parts. But I wouldn't stay here again. It was noisy, nobody seemed to respect guests trying to rest, and they let the gas run out while guests were staying there. We'd come to Coyhaique for a funeral after being awake all night, and just needed somewhere central and quick. It was the first hostel we saw, so we went in. A very friendly woman who handles the rooms greeted us and took us to the owner or manager. We asked the price for two people and were told 20,000 each. We asked to see the room before deciding, but were told we had to pay first. We were in a hurry, so we agreed. The room had two beds, a TV, two nightstands and a shelf, which was all fine. When we tried to sleep that afternoon, workers were right outside our room using tools that sounded like a drill and talking loudly. They shouted a lot. Our room was beside their office, and the manager kept answering calls. We later found out there was a breakfast option, which nobody had offered us, and that cheaper rooms were available. Early the next morning, they played the radio outside our room and talked again. We could hear everything and couldn't rest properly. Then the gas ran out when I went to shower, so I had to use ice-cold water in Coyhaique. I hope the hostel takes this comment seriously and respects guests who need to rest. You don't know why someone is traveling. We were there for something very sad and didn't want to hear your radio music or conversations.

The rooms are spacious and have cable TV, Wi-Fi and a cooking area. It was a little chilly and could use better insulation, but otherwise excellent.
